This week’s wine tasting will feature three domestic wines and one South African Sauvignon Blanc that I featured a couple of months ago. Try some New World Chardonnay, a balanced Pinot Noir, a bold Cabernet and a lone South African white wine. Stop in from 4pm to 7pm and see for yourself.

Downes Sauvignon Blanc
Reg. $24.99 On Sale $16.99
A small portion of the wine sees some skin contact for texture and complexity and the wine is only aged in stainless steel. The wine is incredibly complex and mineral driven and drinks like something from the Loire Valley or Bordeaux. Slate and wet stones give way to citrus zest, green apples and a subtle herbal finish.
Castle Rock Chardonnay
Reg. $12.99 On Sale $8.99
The Chardonnay has an undisclosed amount of oak since I couldn’t find tech sheets but it is moderately oaky-buttery with balanced notes of apple, pear and tropical fruits. If you like Chardonnay with some richness to it this is for you! Seriously over delivers for the price point.
Castle Rock Central Coast Pinot Noir
Reg. $13.99 15% Off $11.89
The Central Coast Pinot Noir is incredibly well balanced and showcases all of the pretty aromatics of Pinot Noir. Bright cherry, black tea, subtle baking spices and ripe raspberry notes make this something to buy again and again.
Ramsay Cabernet Sauvignon
Reg. $19.99 15% Off $16.99
While bottles of Cab from Napa command some pretty insane prices you can go just a bit farther and get a lot of bang for the buck! The Cabernet is chewy and dense with notes of dark red fruit and plums. This will be perfect for date night or with burgers!
