Come join us for our Friday Wine Tasting! This week we are tasting four wines from Spain with my sales rep Tom. I featured the Ontanon Ecologico Rioja in my January Newsletter and had great success so we decided to do an Ontanon tasting with a wider selection of their wines.

Ontanon Tempranillo Blanco

This wine is 100% Tempranillo Blanco which is a mutation of red Tempranilo. The grapes are harvested in the morning and fermented in stainless steel to capture the pure expression of the grape. Tropical notes with floral undertones, this will please pretty much any white wine fan!

The Akemi wine from Ontanon is very unique since it was created by chef Felix Jimenez to serve at his sushi restaurant in Rioja. He picks select barrels of 100% Viura to create the ultimate pairing for his cuisine but this will play nicely with many recipes!
